I'm on the upper east side and I need about 150 sq ft. I can't find anyone that is still selling it this late without ordering a whole pallet. Any ideas? Lowes and Home depot are not selling it anymore.

Try Houston Garden Center. They usually get a couple pallets a week they sell individual pieces off of.

May not be the best quality, but Houston Plant and Garden may still have it. My brother and dad both picked some up recently to patch a few places. I think my brother said they get delivery on Thursday so this is probably the best day to get it.

EDIT: Fairview has the correct name - Houston Garden Center

Houston Garden Center and Dirt Cheap Mulch Co, both on 1960. Dirt Cheap has the better product in my opinion. I put down 12 pieces about 4 weeks go and after daily watering, you can barely tell that it's not original sod in the yard. The sod I bought from HGC still looks like it was laid down separately from the rest of my yard. Dirt Cheap's sod is $.90 per piece. They're Aggie-owned too.

Thanks, I planned to check out Houston Garden Center after work. I knew they delivered if you ordered at least one pallet, but I wasn't sure if they actually carried it in the store.

Bass I just bought some at home depot last Saturday. It is terrible quality so the other suggestions on this thread are probably better for you.

i just got sod about 10 days ago from both lowes and garden center. you sure they not selling them?

FWIW, check the pic. I got these on the same day First went to lowes, they ran out, I needed a couple more, so I went to garden center to get the last couple pieces. quite a difference. Lowes was $1.30 a piece, GC, $0.77 a piece.
Lowes was way better quality.

Thanks for the Dirt Cheap suggestion, Marauder. I had not thought to look there. I did check with both Lowes and Home Depot and they said they probably wouldn't get anymore in this year.

I have had good luck with Home Depot for patch work. Quality was good at my location, but I am not surprised that it can be hit or miss. Get there early on a Saturday morning and you should be good.

Barry, I was told they get the delivery on thursday. I picked up a couple pieces on a saturday morning. Kinda moldy as it was getting down to nearly the bottom of the pallet. I had my 4 year old son with me so I didn't really feel like going to another store for grass

I'm sure with a little TLC it will be allright. We shall see.
