As odd as it may seem, there's a pretty high level of hot ass here.

There is a lot of ace there. I was amazed the first time I went out in Beaumont.

I think it is a factor of it being the hub town for SE Texas. It also pulls in a lot from East Texas. Don't forget there is a school there.

i imagine towns like that are very good on your first run through...but when you come out a few more times, you start to see the same skanks.

not that i mind skanks. just sayin

I've hit it up several times now and have seen some good tail at most of the places I have been. Obviously it doesn't have a scene like Houston but I did appreciate the abcense of PSB's and skull t-shirts.

I was in Beaumont for about 6 months off and on last year. Flash is right about the lack of PSBs. Most common thing you will find is the redneck version of a PSB with the cowboy hat with the effing top cut out of it like a visor or something.

The Houston scene would be 10x better if it wasn't for the PSBs and McSkullshirts. But I have the feeling that there's a threshold size for a city, after which PSBs and McSkullshirts making up a large portion of bar patrons becomes unavoidable.

I grew up in Beaumont.
It's gods way of showing mercy on the male population that had to grow up in Beaumont.

Cap and a polo shirt is still acceptable barwear in Beaumont. That is a big draw for me.

All the hot chicks come from Lumberton. They have some kind of Aryan breeding program out there.

I grew up in Beaumont and am there about every other weekend. There are still PSBs there but they just have a different dress code. Thats all there is at Crockett Street. I hate that place, just townies chasing skeezy bar hags who are just looking for a sugar daddy to buy them over-priced, watered down drinks. The girls may look alright, but if they are hot and still in Beaumont and hanging at Crockett, they probably skanked their way through half their high school, picking up various VD along the way, and failed out of Lamar after one semester.

There are some other places with decent dames that have a soul and not as much d-----baggery, but they are few and far between.

rodubls,

Where are the best places to meet some less skanky women? I am in Beaumont on business about six times a year and would like to know where to go.

I don't understand the whole professional spring breaker thing. Where did this term originate? Does it just mean recent college grads that party all of the time? Are they on a trust fund or something?
rodubls

I think its just a general term for the following type of characters: Trust fund babies without any sense, "my new haircut" kind of guys, $30,000 millionaires... you get the picture. Just terrible people that should not be allowed to procreate... or go out to bars.

As far as Beaumont goes, I have always liked the Pacesetter. It used to be an old folks bar (caught my great uncle with his girl on the side there once) but now its got some young, decent people that have lost interest in Crockett Street. I know of other places from when I was younger but times change and I don't really go out when I go back home anymore. Me and the gf still go out but usually to the movies and stuff. All my boys from back home have moved away or are cops now, so I haven't gone out on the town in a while. If me and the gf do want a drink we go to McKenzie's pub which is definitely an old folks bar but I like the quiet and absence of PSBs and skeezy bar hags.

What is the difference between a Seenster and a PSB?

And if you are in Beaumont on business and looking for tail while you are there, then Crockett is most def the way to go. I will say that Dixie and Star Bar are the worst, but Antone's doesn't seem too terrible, been there a few times for concerts.

a Seenster is just someone who happens to get their picture taken for the Chronicle's "Scenesters" section.

A Scenester may be also be a PSB, but it's not required. Conversely, it's not required that a PSB'er be in Scenesters (although any PSB worth a **** should be).

That's where I end up when I go. Esp Star Bar.
rodubls

Why do you put yourself through that?

At least its not as bad as it was before the smoking ban. Big Money has more smokers than a lot of cities, I know I used to be one, but Star Bar had like a fog in it. Now Fast Eddie's is one of the few places you can smoke inside and its like LA in there.

That's where the group I am with likes to go. Last time I went out we went to a place called Madison's on Dowlen. It was really lame.

Yeah I eat at Madisons for lunch sometimes but the nightlife sucks. I mean, it seems like a cool set up and everything but every time that I went the only people there were 30 somethings acting like they were 19. Getting obnoxiously drunk and complaining about your kids and ex husband is no way to find a new one.

I used to get drug down to Crockett with my buddies but like I said all those guys are gone or are cops so we usually just stay in and play poker or play video games/watch sports or if we do go out, its like BDubs.

I'm trying to think if I'm missing any other places. I like Easy's a lot for nicer dining and high class drinking. But its usually a date spot.

What is the name of that place in the shopping center where Crazy Jose's is at off of Calder? It's across from the Handlebar. Best talent I have seen yet in B-Mont was at this place. It was pretty small, but it was wall to wall chicks.

I think you are referring to the Pacesetter. Unless you are talking about one of the couple of dive pool halls in that area.
CW Griswold

It's not a pool hall. It's a very underwhelming looking place in the back end of the shopping center.

There is some place off the highway called Scandals or Rumors or something like that. I think the name starts with an A...
