Which is why I suggested he may give them a sweetheart of a deal for some form of control. But, that to me means deciding who interviews him, etc.

Also, the old man may be forgetting who he does and doesn't pay "on the radio." He pays Brad, Babe and Kristi, and the rest of the Cowboys media team. But he certainly is not paying the salaries of their hosts.

sham is very much a backpocket guy based on everything i've heard.

as a matter of fact, the little ticket pokes fun at him because sham will often divert the direction of pressers if he thinks the questions are getting too salty.

The profiles are awfully similar.
- Last national title was about 25 years previous when each entered.
- Both had a lot of success in a conference that only had a couple of semi-peers (Arky won 2 of the last 3 SWC titles and were a top 15 team those years).
- Both rely heavily on OOS talent
- Both 3-5 hours from DFW
- Similar state, alumni, and school populations
- Add in that OU as a university has a lot of financial issues and is a billion dollars in debt

Yeah thought Jub and Doocey did a bad job of explaining it. Jub said he's been buddies with the Loeffler official for years so not surprised he didn't have the cojones to call his buddy out. He acted like they're the best crew in the world!

Yea, their takes were very fair. They called it pathetic and couldn't believe the refs reversed it. Work in Progress yesterday morning was frustrating to listen to yesterday, as they didn't call them out at all. Didn't DJ go to Iowa? He seemed like a big Longhorns fan on the segment.

Jub was ridiculous and didn't call them out at all. And I agree with the above poster, that him being friends with the ref likely had something to do with that. I'm sure Sweet Spot won't either, but the hardline should be a good listen.

Yeah, I don't see them crashing all the way to Nebraska 2.0 because proximity to Texas will help them, but Arkansas is a very close fit.

One thing is for certain, if Jub knows someone, they're the best at what they do.

He was defending his buddy and crew for that nonsense on Saturday night. And clearly he doesn't watch many SEC games because that was just the most glaring example of the ineptness of SEC officiating this season.

But I did like Doocy being in for Junior.

So, The Ticket liners are really doubling down on the The Fan being in Jerry's "back pocket" after the events of the last week? I mean...I understood it before. It was a stupid point to make, but sports radio stations can be a bit petty.

I kind of thought they'd let those liners go away after what happened last week but now they're doubling down? I'm all for finding reasons to rip Jerry Jones but they're basically implying that The Fan hosts (who asked fairly mild questions) are Cowboys stooges? Really?
