Welcome to the world Rudyjax.

The Rangers GM is Chris Young from Dallas who grew up in Dallas listening to the Ticket?

From his bio:

Quote:

He is a native of Dallas and a 1998 graduate of Highland Park High School where he earned All-State honors in both basketball and baseball in his senior year.
I vividly remember his conversation with Bob and Dan when he first came to the Rangers and how he grew up listening to the Ticket and was still a P1.

But he's not the GM of the Rangers.

But, it is a common name so that's why I didn't put 2 and 2 to make 4 either.

Young helped Highland Park reach the Class 4A Region II basketball final in 1997 and the Class 4A Texas state basketball final in 1998. He tossed a no-hitter in 1997 while compiling a 60 record, helping Highland Park reach the Class 4A Texas state baseball final. During his senior year, he was District Most Valuable Player in basketball, and led his baseball team to the state championship, while pitching in two no-hitters. That year, he was a first-team All-State selection in basketball and baseball. After a high school career as an athlete and scholar, Young excelled in both baseball and basketball for Princeton University and became the Ivy League's first male two-sport Rookie of the Year.

Baseball and basketball at the same time in HS and college, that's different

Check out Danny Ainge.

Edit: just looked it up. He wasn't playing baseball in college while he was playing basketball at BYU, he was actually playing for the Blue Jays in the show.

A great benefit of the Rangers playoff run is fewer Cowboys segments on the little ticket. Usually by August there isn't anything about the Rangers worth talking about so it becomes Cowboys overkill all through the Fall. It's been refreshing to tune in and hear some enthusiasm about something different

The problem is that most of them know very little about baseball.

Junior Miller this morning mentioned that the Rangers were a 6 seed this year, and the D-Backs were a "6 or 7 seed". He wasn't joking. He literally doesn't know how many teams make the playoffs.

Hell, they made a bet with Corby that he couldn't watch 25 games in a season and he only watched 12 or 13. Now that bozo is acting like the biggest fan there is.

I'm wondering if it is Hawkeye.... They were with him this week in NYC. And Hawkeye has been known to do bits.

Plus he was in studio.

I think it was George's UNT friend and San Antonio Spurs' own Don Harris.
