I wouldn't say lame. Just on the nose a little too much. It's not an off the wall movie that was a minor cult classic. This was a huge movie where the entire demographic of their listeners have seen.

But I guess it makes sense with Sirois and the Miami Dolphins connection.

Story time:
In grad school, I worked at a movie theater in Irving. Pat Summerall, who lived in Las Colinas, and his wife came in to watch Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. Hey, it's a football movie, right?
About 20 minutes in, they came out and asking for a refund. I gave it to them.

No, I generally only listen on Thursdays because of PWF. Not a fan of Mino and can tolerate SB but them together is just awful.

I think I secretly like 1-3 more than 10-1. I was excited about McClearin at the time of the announcement because I liked him on the weekend show with JJT. But man, as an everyday listen he is just one of those guys who has that know-it-all, one-up-storytelling personalities. It just puts me off listening to him.

Plus he's a t.u. fan.

I'm also more used to the voices from 1-3 so the familiarity probably helps out in that regard. And they at least have off-the-wall segments that are decent. They're definitely more adventurous in their non-sports segments as they have to be.

With you on McClearin. Couldn't put my finger on it, but I think you nailed it. I was actually in for a few weeks thinking "this isn't so bad", but the more I listened, the less I liked the dude. Have not listened 10-3 at all for a few weeks

It is really a credit to the station that it made it for so long throughout so many changes. Interested to see which hosts can successfully springboard into a similar medium.

I like Ty well enough, was good with Tickers and funny quips, but he was definitely not host material. I had assumed that between Sean and Ty, whomever did not get promoted would leave since they both have been there a long time and are basically the same. Its a little amusing that we spend weeks and weeks bemoaning the thin Ticket bench, then when a member of said thin bench leaves its a sign of the Ticket taking on water . I'm positive they'll survive the loss of a ticker guy. Again, I like Ty, but this is churn the back of the roster, which is positive.

Hell I'd take Ty over Mino. I'm not sure what put Mino over Ty as host material. Neither are fantastic but give me a trio of Ty, Sean, Monty over what we currently have.
