Well...if that's true, then he wouldnt have become the celebrity he did.

My point, was that no program is prepared for someone who became that famous, that quick.

i dont know about that.

His QB coach at the time talked about how exciting JF was running the scout team his RS year.

And he was the HS Gatorade Player of the year as a QB, which they recruited him to play. Not sure it's likely he'd have switched positions.

Well in 2011 there just happened to be a first round QB (who is still in the the league) in front of Manziel on the depth chart. Pretty easy decision to redshirt him

There has to be an inside joke here, right - or something they joke about off-air? The first half of the bit he wasn't saying anything funny at all (just straight baseball talk)...is it just about his low voice that tickles the other two?

I had the exact same thought at first. I think what made it so funny to the other two is how accurately Gordo nailed it in terms of both voice inflection and actual Bochy cliches, so he didn't need to introduce a "bit" like he does for Fake Jerry and Fake Nolan because that part alone made it great. Of course, by the time he decided to introduce one and got to the 7-alarm chili, I was cracking up along with Craig and George.

So after the shake up....I'm liking Donnie and McLearin (Sp?) quite a bit. They have great chemistry.

And I actually dont mind 1-3. Sean Bass is still a bit vanilla/generic, but they do a good job filling in a 2 hour show, especially now that Monty has joined them.

Sean overtalks about everything, as if he's trying to prove that he knows what he's talking about, but it comes off as boring and long-winded. He's smart and comfortable on the air...but not very interesting at all. He shouldn't be any higher than a ticker guy/producer.

Even why today doesn't suck, sucks. Just have Monty, corby, and Davey do that, the rest are so unfunny and boring its painful.

Haven't listened to what y'all are discussing but it did make me think of a question. What would have to happen for some of y'all to finally punch out of the ticket? In 2023, I can't imagine spending any time voluntarily listening to Mino or Sean Bass, especially with as many entertainment options as there are at our fingertips.

My only connection for the most part these days is this thread and any Gordo segments if I'm in the car at the time.
