The Freak will be personality radio and lead by Dallas radio legend Mike Rhyner, who's coming out of retirement after a 25-year run at The Ticket, which he started in 1994.
Other Dallas personalities joining the station include Mike Sirois, Julie Dobbs, Michael Gruber and Jeff Cavanaugh. Below will be the new lineup:
7-11 A.M. - Jeff Cavenaugh, Kevin Turner & Julie Dobbs
o 11 A.M. - 3 P.M. - Ben & Skin
3-7 P.M. - Mike Rhyner & Mike Sirois, show produced by Michael Gruber
This is going to be a huge station flip and will bring plenty of sizzle, excitement and most important, loyal and engaged listeners to the station

Now that is a much more interesting lineup that is going to initially pull Hardline listeners to check it out. You mostly have to roll out cannon fodder vs the Musers, but the rest of the day is where the weakness is

Agree - I'm intrigued by Sirois and Rhyner, but it feels like they need a third person after seeing what Rhynes brought (or didn't bring) to the air his last half decade at the Ticket.

That 3-7 show has me excited.

Good for him, but it does make me laugh that Sirois can't escape working with a 70+ year old host.

I also wonder if this was in the works when Sirois quit at The Ticket or if it fell into his lap afterward.

Also I wonder if a streaming option like the SportsDay app will be available on day one.

It's sounds silly but not having one available would almost be a dealbreaker.
