Agree with everyone here. Davey is barely an upgrade over Danny and would be a disappointing move.
Also, I've figured out why mino is so bad at anything other than board op. He has no life. The weekend checks are so cringey with him bc he does absolutely nothing every single weekend. He never takes vacations, goes to parties, hangs out with friends, goes on dates or does anything at all besides play The Show video game and visit his parents on sundays. I don't mean to bag on the guy, but doing something fun every now and then (or doing anything at all) would help him bring better content on the air. For the weekend checks he's literally started saying stuff like "I had to get a new Tom Thumb card bc I lost mine, forgot how much of a discount it gives you…" off air experiences are a big reason of what made Sirois so great (bc he'd talk about them and just bc it helped him talk about and relate to a ton of topics based off his experiences.
Also, mino had the Danny problem where he over annunciates every word and every syllable. So he has no conversational flow when he's talking. Which is fine when he's giving a dead pan one liner, but is terrible when he's hosting or expected to carry on a casual conversational tone.
Seems like a really nice guy and is a great board op. And he has a good sense of humor bc his brief additions to the hang zone are usually really funny. But I finally figured out why he's not good host material, so thought I'd share.
