How are they going to play the Mike Walking Away Footsteps if Norm just had hip surgery.
Doubt it's anything related to Norm - Sirois said he talked to him this morning and that he "sounded great" and he was "TBD for the show Friday". I also don't think they'd announce something like Norm having to hang it up on the Hardline...while Donovan is out of town.
I also don't think the Greggo heart attack is "major" enough (unless he has since passed or is on life support or something).
However, I will concede that the "past few decades" comment from Corby indicates it could well be about Greggo or Norm.
I'm just hoping Bob isn't jumping ship to another opportunity.

I bet they're announcing that Norm is going to retire at the end of August or something like that. That'll give him 3 months to make the rounds and say the goodbyes.
I doubt it's a "Norm is gone as of today" type of thing. They're wanting to make a big announcement right in the middle of peak listening in afternoon drive time to drum up interest for the next couple of weeks and months while it's the Norm-going-away.

Yeah, feels like Bob moving on to work for Troy fulltime on MNF is the situation. Troy's getting $18MM for that gig, and you know he wants to do it right. Bringing on Bob to run stats and take meetings with him is a no-brainer. Hell, Troy may have negotiated for him to come along, or more likely, Troy hired him personally. That's my guess.
Hopefully not but something along these lines is my best guess. Maybe it'll just be that Bob will have to be away from the show during football season (or can only work Tuesdays - Thursdays or something like that). We shall see.MW03 said:
