Brian Jones either has the worst phone on earth or he has it on speaker. Unlistenable.

Corby is so butthurt that we are on the rise and ou is on the decline. He can't accept that a non "blue blood" may have success.
Old Hardline and that segment just turns into a dogpile on A&M. Not with Bob anymore.
As Bob pointed out, we were a top 5 team last year. We had the #7 class in 2021. We had the #6 class in 2020. It's not like this was totally out of nowhere. Corby keeps going to the 8-4 well while ignoring the fact that for 20-25 years the foundation of these classes is built in the HS junior year. We are paying, but from what our players are saying, it's in line with other big programs

Corby is the most insecure grown man on the radio, and that's saying something. He essentially is having a breakdown with what A&M is doing and knowing that OU is headed to a Nebraska existence now and especially when they join the SEC.
It is amazing that he cannot see beyond his biases and prefers being an irrational jerk than admitting other teams (Grubes clear throat) are capable of being elite too.

Since inflation has apparently priced us out of a remote (sorry for getting everyone's hopes up, btw…I swear they were much cheaper than that when i looked into it a few years ago), maybe we just compromise and see if they'll let us sponsor whatever the Hardline's cheapest segment is?

I remember it. He was very smug and condescending. Small minded people couldn't understand the reasoning for the move. But even at the time what he was saying was laughable. Oh, and within a year we had a Heisman winner. Guess they never mentioned him.

I love how he brings up our history of top-5 finishes all the time. And he's definitely not the only one. When do people realize that history doesn't matter? It's all about what a program is doing now.
No other sports focuses on history as a measure of future success as much as college football people. It drives me insane.

Im not even sure what his point is. It's pretty dumb if you think about it.
Every good team, and every program needed players who propelled them to the next level. What's his point? That we had a good player in Johnny, that helped our transition to the SEC? ok.
Thing is, you still need to capitalize on those type of players, or those type of seasons. Otherwise you're Baylor and Robert Griffin.

But even if he is referring to Johnny, so what?? Are we supposed to be insulted by that. While I think Johnny helped the cause, he's not the sole reason we are having success. But even if he was, so what?? The only point that matters is that we are having success. Any other school in the nation would take someone revolutionizing their entire program and raising their brand in a heartbeat.

99% of Aggies are well aware of the impact Johnny made and very appreciative.

To refuse to give A&M credit, because they had a great player once over a decade ago, is just stupid.
