Looking for a reputable plumber to replace an exterior hose bib. Called Stillwater plumbers in Prosper and after charging me $79 trip charge, they wanted $699.00

I just did this for my mom's house in Houston and the dude charged me a third of that.

I used Jack Lantrip at Plano Plumbing last year. His team came out same day and did a good job quick. Was somewhere from $250-300

They usually are threaded so just turn off the water at the main and unscrew the old one and screw in the new one. I did mine this year for about 30 dollars and 5 minutes of work.

Yes, assuming nothing unusual, charging hundreds of dollars for a hose-bib is a racket of all rackets. It is almost like an electrician charging $300 to screw in a lightbulb
