i looked at them but the "cheap" plans i could find from them required them to track an EV and set your thermostat. that's a no go for me. outside of those plans they weren't any cheaper.
at the end of the day they are all just billing middlemen. maybe their overhead is lower than others which is for the rates you are seeing. pay your bill on time and 99% of the complaints from these companies go away.
I have switched electric providers pretty much every year the past 6-7 years, and not once have I had to reach out to customer service at either the beginning, end, or the middle of the contract.
i just saw the thermostat access, which is a no-go for me as well. Looks like True Energy has a 24 month rate of .0707 per kWh, which is about $0.03 better than what I had.
