We are going to have our foundation repaired. They are going to have to bust up our slab and go through our tile. Including replacing the tile, this may push us to go ahead and do a few things with our house we have been putting off like extending our laundry room, running gas to our stove, electrical to our island etc. Obviously depending on the cost, it might be worth trying to knock some stuff out since our floor will already be messed up.

Does anyone have any suggestions on General Contractors in the Lewisville / Flower Mound / Highland Village area? Word of mouth would make me feel more comfortable than google reviews.

Do you have a realtor or have a friend who is a realtor. They will have lists of guys and 'should' have some where they or their clients have had recent experience and can provide a rec.

We built a 500 sf addition onto our existing 2000 sf house, using Longacre Construction out of Lewisville. They did a really good job. Worked through several code issues with permitting, and did really great quality on the construction. Their concrete, electrical, and drywall subs were nails.

They finished ahead of schedule, and on budget. We added a few change orders during construction, including a fireplace delete and + rigid foam and sheathing for extra R value. We had to talk them out of a couple of other change orders, including a flooring overcharge and some other ancillary items that were in original scope but missed by a sub. Lastly, we declined a change order for better exterior cladding (manufactured stone) that we wanted but just didn't have budget for.

If you are experienced with working with contractors, I'd highly recommend them. If your inexperienced, I would cautiously recommend. If you're looking for everything with gold bows.... not for you.
