It has nothing to do with COVID in schools. All community data. Just like Jenkins trash color system.

99.75% of students are healthy. Even if they get COVID the LARGE majority of them will barely even know they are sick.

Yep. And what was with her secretary taking a speaking role during the meeting earlier? She should have to turn in a comment card and get her one minute like everyone else. Stone is a complete fraud.

Meeting ended with a bang. LHHS student spoke about not feeling safe on campus with the "use whatever the hell bathroom you want" policy. Her allotted 1 minute ran out and the audience got pretty vocal about letting her finish... which they did not.

They continue to ignore the data that matters as it does not fit their narrative. The most recent weeks report new case rate was 0.27% for RISD which is slightly higher than the state average. 99.75% of kids do not have COVID.

The following was requested by the board but Dr. Stone cautioned everyone to not read too much into this data. I wonder why? It clearly shows the mask mandates have not made a difference.

They have basically defaulted that metric as "not met" until under 12 can get vaccinated. Under 12 kids are not at high risk without vaccination.

The policy and highlighting 'high-risk' staff and students implies masking helps prevent infections. But we know - we KNOW - the efficacy of masks in schools is highly questionable. The 'masks required' policy provides a false sense of security that putting masks on students and staff makes things safe for anyone 'high-risk'. That is extremely irresponsible and borders on malpractice.

If you are truly high-risk or your children are high-risk, the ONLY mitigation that works is to stay away.

I can't believe some of you are still having to deal with this bullsh... It is crazy.

Why should I have to put my elementary aged kids through that? Why won't the grownups make a decision on what's best for the kids vs. pandering to the irrational fears of adults.

I honestly had no idea RiSD was still mandating masks.

Unacceptable.

I would not send my kids to school with a mask. If it became an issue I would be out in front of my kids school protesting daily. Enough is enough.

Wow. I just went to the RISD website.....my blood is boiling and my kids do not go to school there. Has there not been a board meeting with public comment related to this? Are there no opt outs available like there was in Plano for a brief period?

Where I see the bigger deal is at Elementary schools where they are requiring masks and those kids will do whatever a teacher tells them even if parents do not want their kids in masks...

Serious racial problems at LHHS.

Black kids targeting perceived white groups like cheerleaders and Student Council.

It's really too long to type out but there is some **** going on at all the high schools and unless your kid has been directly involved, it's been kept under wraps.

For instance all cheer leaders at LHHS didn't wear any gear today(it's game day) bc fringe groups scheduled a protest today and specifically called out the Cheer teams.

Those same groups had protests at JJP and RHS earlier this week.

If your kids are in RISD, you need to wake up start asking the hard questions of your School Board Rep and holding Stone accountable for the **** ass mess she has created.

We are turning into Berkley over here.

I know this is easier said than done and those girls have put a lot of work in but they should stop attending any school events (football, basketball when that starts, etc).

Many of those not on the field tonight stayed home today.

Probably because I'm reminded of my own high school, where if you were protesting anything, you were going to be given the privilege of doing so via an out of school suspension.

They are protesting the fact that they are privileged little entitled ****s that think they deserve special treatment in every situation that doesn't go their way.

I had the same level of treatment in HS as you did.
This new **** where we don't punish kids for breaking the rules makes me insane.
