Tornadoes like this never happened before. Oh except that tornado in May of 1976 in Dallas that followed the nearly identical path as this one so I am sure it is climate change!
Sure the 1976 tornado destroyed a church on Midway Road across the street from the now destroyed Walnut Hill Elementary and then hit the same Orchid Lane just behind Preston Royal shopping center but go ahead and tell us all about how different things are now smart guy Al Gore, Jr.
Genius.

Imagine comparing the effects of climate change on a macro level to a tornado that happened in 1976

Also, we are more populated now than we were. Same argument as hurricane damage when everyone freaks out and says climate change is causing more damage now while completely ignoring the massive buildup by humans along coastal regions over the years.

Climate change is not a single event, it is a collection of events/variables. The discussion you're jumping into is discussing the increase in tornadoes in the area over the last decade or so, not that this particular tornado is specifically related to climate change.

The earth is warming, that is absolutely undeniable at this point, that's why the conversation among most deniers has shifted from whether or not climate change (global warming) is real to whether or not it is caused by man (it pretty evidently is) whether or not it's as catastrophic as some people say (debatable, depends on what they're claiming), and whether or not there's anything we can actually do about it and how much effort should be put into it.

Arguing that the earth isn't warming went out of popular discourse at least 10 years ago and global warming used to be a bipartisan issue before one party used it to bash the other party for inactivity.

Basements are also more prevalent up north because the foundations must extend below the frost line which can be 4 to 6 feet below grade. By the time you excavate for the foundation to that depth the additional work needed for a basement is minimal.

Then why not go back to calling it "global warming".
