I know the policy and seem to recall last time I went ( Mark Chestnut) there were kids. I like both playing this weekend, sent the link to my wife. Was leaning towards the Mavericks since they are so nonconventional.

I've seen both recently.

The Mavericks show is different than any other concert I've been to. It's a huge mix of country/tejano/polka/rock and all over the place. I don't know too much of their catalog, but I was entertained the whole time. Their lead guitarist, Eddie Perez, will steal the show at times. They'll go high energy to slowing it down a lot.

I know all of Gary's songs, and he's a fantastic live performer. He's all over the stage, will cover Dwight Yoakum in his encore (Fast as you), and will perform only 1-2 songs you've likely never heard because they're on his new album.

I personally recommend Gary, but admittedly, I'm biased.

I went as a wee lad. Saw Pat green at 12 and Don Williams at 11.

She told me she was 18. That's all I needed to hear.
