I have a pair of Lucchese Ostrich boots I need to get resoled. Any recommendations in the North Dallas area?
Child, please...

Dino's boot repair south side of lover's lane, 1 block east of tollway. Nice old italian couple. Doesn't take credit cards. I take all of my shoes/boots there for repair work.

I've taken my boots in for repair at Coit Boot Shop. (Coit & Beltline)

There's also a cobbler on the southeast corner of Belt Line and 75.

I dont recommend Roma's in Dallas. The soles wore out in three months and they screwed up the stitching.

Lucchese will resole and rebuild the boots for $250 if you send to one of their shops.

Only if they are Lucchese Classics. Lucchese won't do this for the 1883/Cowboy/2000 lines.

If you take Lucchese Classics to Pinto Ranch, they will send them to Lucchese for resoling and refurbushing for $185 for western boots and $155 for ropers.

I had success getting my cheap justin westerns and ropers resoled at a place in Addison just east of Midway on the eastbound side of Beltline. I think it ran about $75 for full leather on the ropers, and maybe $10 more for the westerns.

$75 bucks to resole a pair of Justin Ropers? Jeez I bought mine for $100, 10 years ago.

I guess I should just go ahead and get a new pair since my foot has gotten a little fatter since then.

I paid $65-70 to get my Justin Ropers resoled at Lewisville Boot Repair about a year ago. It was about half the price I paid for them new in 2003, but they're the most comfortable pair of boots I've ever owned and worth it to me. I was very happy with their work.

Ha! That's what I told my wife when I scoffed the first time. Then she reminded me how much I hate breaking boots in.
