Any hole-in-the-wall type places?

Haven't been to Oar House in years but we used to drive out there on a fairly regular basis. Unless, they've added on to the place it is somewhat of a hole in the wall.

Honestly, there are very few hole in the wall type places other than what the previous posters have mentioned. Rockwall is mainly a chain restaurant town. Most of the non-commercial places are located around the downtown area. If you feel like driving a little there is Big Daddy's BBQ north of town at 205 & 78. It was listed in TX Monthly's top 50.

A true hole in the wall route place is Boot's Burgers. It's run out the guy's garage and I think only open on Saturday until they run out, best burgers in town.

Zanata my favorite. Also consider Fatted Calf and Bin 303 as mentioned. Cu peppers and Oar House are fine.

Boot's Burgers is the real deal. The grease will literally cause the burger to fall out of the bottom of the soggy bag. Good stuff with a large following. It is at 701 Austin St, Rockwall 75087

We commonly drive out to Rockwall just to go eat at Bin 303. One of our faves.

Love fatted calf

Bin 303 is amazing (especially their burgers).

We also love Chiloso. Haven't had the Fatted Calf yet, but have heard great things.
