all the routs google gives me have you on the toll roads and i dont have my garmin with me. please help. need to leave in two hours to pick up a friend.
Take 635 West past 35-E. Do not get on toll road (stay in leftmost lanes on 635 to avoid toll road exit-only lanes). Continue on 635 West to Coppell, where 635 veers leftward (southerly). Should have "DFW Airport" overhead signs to guide you. Continue straight south (get to leftward lanes again, as there's "exit only" for 114 to Grapevine). Continue south to DFW North entrance.
Too slow on the draw, oops.

yeah, it may be saying "toll" since you will pay to enter the airport, but otherwise, as mentioned above, 635 was basically THE way to get to DFW from North Dallas before toll roads ever came along (and it still is depending on where you are, including 635 and 75).
You can also take NW Highway to 114. The only toll is when you actually drive onto DFW and even then you only get charged if you are there longer than an hour or if you don't leave the way you entered.
