Meddlesome Moth (NE corner Oak Lawn and Hi Line, W of 35) just opened 4/28. Went Sat night. Neat place, but probably somewhat unknown.

TABC used to be my bar of choice.

Its a pretty low key atmosphere with great food. Its actually a decent place to take a date imo. The only thing I don't really like about it, is how isolated it is, its quite a walk to anywhere besides the Londonder.

I think on weekends they have a DJ and clear some of the tables for a "dance floor"

I'm a big fan of TABC this time of year, since they have a huge patio and the weather is nice.

Vickery Park, Old Monk, Capital Pub.

Henderson Ave for the win.

TABC is cool but if you want uptown I think Gingerman is about the only spot that won't sell too much dbaggery in that area.

Operated by the same folks that run the Flying Saucer. Should be a good bar...haven't been yet though.

Forgot about the Loon...I live right around the corner and still haven't been in since they banned smoking. Heard it's 100x's better...

It is better but has lost some of "The Loon" feel.

I know the Liars Den can be kinda *****y but I am a big fan of the deck on the top. Good view.

Liars Den and Madisons both closed down.

edit: just went by Liars Den and Madisons. They are definitely closed for good. They have a "for lease" sign on the door.
