Sorry to start a new thread, but I am very close to signing a lease with Firestone apartments

812 square feet for $871 and it's in a very good location near downtown. Nothing in the area came close to the price

Just wondering if anyone here has any input on the complex?

Thanks again

I live here, it's an ok place to live. Sounds like I need to go talk to someone about the price of my lease though....

hahahaha

nothing special, nothing great huh? How long have you lived here and what are some of your gripes and some of the things you like?

My main gripe is that its a decade old... and looks kind of old especially the stove and microwave. But the location is so great and the price is so low, it's hard to pass up...

AMLI upper west side looked even older, AMLI 7th street was the same but more expensive, then of course lincoln trinity bluffs were niiiice but started at $1050.

If you could do it all over again, would you still choose firestone?

sorry for the million questions

10 years old is OLD? Man, you'd hate our 50 year-old house.

It's like you said, it's nice but old. I haven't really had any issues, can't beat the location, the management takes care of everything I have asked them to immediately. I live right next to the pool, so I'm in a good spot in the complex.

No real gripes, other than I can hear my neighbor walking around upstairs every once in a while.

Firestone Apts was hit by the Fort Worth tornado a while back - bldgs 11 & 12 (see comments): http://www.apartmentratings.com/rate/TX-Fort-Worth-Firestone-Upper-West-Side-340377.html

RentMoney offers a cash rebate for signing a lease at Firestone Apts: http://www.rentmoney.com/State/TX/Metro/Dallas/City/Fort%20Worth/Property/Firestone%20Upper%20West%20Side/ApartmentForRent.aspx

No kidding ... ours turns 90 next year!

When living in an apartment, though, I would either want an old, old one that had been recently re-done with new appliances (best of both worlds), or a brand spankin' new one. But I guess the 'tweener apartments is where you can save some cash.
