You can go to the courthouse or just about any sub-courthouse. A sub-courthouse would probably be faster.

we went to the courthouse during lunch and it took 5 minutes. past security and first door on the right.

make sure to take cash...they didn't take credit downtown....It was $41 last July....and i think you have to get it 72 hours in advance....

We got ours at the subcourthouse off Granbury Road. Took about five minutes, no wait.

I think we might have written a check...but not sure.

maybe they do take credit now...that application says it costs $71 now....that's ridiculous.

Don't take a pocket knife if you normally carry one. You can't get in the downtown courthouse with it.
