I am looking for a contractor to renovate a kitchen area and a bathroom area in Austin not too far from the Domain area. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Same. Im in same boat same area. I've only ever gotten names of who not to use - nobody has had a good experience.

MHM Remodeling. He just completed a four week remodel of my master bathroom. He did a great job, his contractors were great, and he finished when he said he would (4 weeks). He only takes on about 10 projects a year, so I am guessing he could be booked up for a while

I plan to use him again next year for the guest bathroom remodel.

Highly recommended W Homes Collective.

I'm good friends with the owners and worked with them in a previous life before they went out in their own.

Longbow does a lot of work in our area, not far from the Domain. I've engaged them for a potential reno, but have no direct first hand experience with them other than phone calls.

How big was the project and what did he charge for labor?

We've contracted with T.A. Todd Construction out of Georgetown on a kitchen remodel (we're in Leander). So far we're pleased with how communicative they are and how promptly they reply and show up for appointments - which aligns nicely with what their references said. Demo of the existing kitchen starts at the end of the month. They expect the project to take 90 days. They did apologize to my wife for how expensive the quote was. Said it would been about half the cost before Covid. After it's all said and done, I expect it will cost about $100k. Guh!

Removing and replacing (slightly reconfiguring) all the cabinets, all new countertops, removal of a soffit, removing/replacing an island, new 36" induction range, requisite plumbing and electrical, and all new lighting. We'll end up replacing all the tile in the kitchen and adjoining dining and great rooms, too. I'll try to remember to update this post with pictures.

We used T. A. Todd too. They remodeled our kitchen and bathrooms last year. Solid organization. Excellent workmanship. Communicate clearly. No surprises.
