I have some family coming in and staying the night at a hotel near the airport while waiting for a couple more to come in Saturday morning on a redeye. Where is a good place somewhat close to the airport to meet the rest of them for dinner? Any good Mexican, BBQ, or CFS places near the airport that will be open past 8:00-9:00pm on a friday night?

Meanwhile brewery is close. It is food trucks but they're pretty good.

Catfish Parlour is a good dive.

Another vote for Meanwhile! It's one of my favorite spots in general. The food trucks are Mexican, BBQ, pizza and a chicken sandwich one. Plus excellent beer.

If y'all are willing to venture 10 mins from the airport, that would open up east 6th area and Licha's cantina for watermelon jalapeño margaritas and mexican food

South Congress is a quick trip from ABIA, and it has several options that would be fun on a Friday night.

Within 10-15 minutes maybe? Not really wanting to drive into downtown and hit 6th street and not really wanting to head to Georgetown or parts north. Just want some place casual with good food. The Meanwhile Brewing seems like a good suggestion so far, but I am open to other suggestions. TIA

Not sure a watermelon jalapeno margarita would be my first choice, but how is the food?

As said there really not anything close to the airport. If your folks are not from Texas you could go to Matt's. It's a tourist spot that has average food and great atmosphere. It is about 15 minutes by freeway.

That would open up pinthouse pizza, easy tiger, Matt's el Rancho, and Loro all on south Lamar as options
