Gonna be crawling with f-ing Californians soon…Bucketrunner said:
Poor Bastrop. It used to have such charm
and weirdo's. Hell, I lived in Bastrop for about 3 years, ten plus years ago and even then it was crawling with nut jobs everywhere.cityagboy said:
I get nervous with Elon moving business to the area. He can be so flakey that at any minute he could uproot offices or Tesla plants. He just isn't stable but it is bring high paying jobs to the area

I edited my post for you. When I was in Bastrop County I have no idea if they were Libs. But I do know I'd go to walmart and see people with tats all over there body, purple, and multi colored hair, wearing no shoes in the store, people in general who look like meth heads, etc.cityagboy said:AustinCountyAg said:and weirdo's. My comment wasn't about political views….. I don't care what my neighbors think politically if they are good neighbors. We don't need to be best friends
It is getting to be an interesting mix now. Lots of professionals that don't want to live in Austin/Travis County are moving into new subdivisions on the west side of Bastrop, mixed with the tatted up meth types and the country folk coming into town in duallies and flat beds. Hopefully all the Californians moving in are the ones that ran from there due to the politics, not the true believers.AustinCountyAg said:I edited my post for you. Guess you wouldn't like all my tattoos but I do wear shoes and clean clothesAustinCountyAg said:I edited my post for you. When I was in Bastrop County I have no idea if they were Libs. Not to speak for ACA, but I don't care if anybody has tats or not if they otherwise appear to take care of themselves and don't look like they just finished a 2-week bender and forgot to shower the whole time. I do question the decision making of the otherwise pretty ladies whose tattoos look like a toddler scrawled on them with a crayon at random.cityagboy said:Guess you wouldn't like all my tattoos but I do wear shoes and clean clothesAustinCountyAg said:I edited my post for you. That might be a feature to him and not a bug. I bet there is still a ton of dead weight in X overhead.fig96 said:
Curious to see how this goes. Bay Area talent isn't going to move to Bastrop, though I have my questions as to how desirable a company they are to work for these days either way.

I live very, very close to Boring/Space X/Starlink/X Safety and I'm interested to see what will end up happening with everything. My family and I frequent the Boring Bodega so at least having that nearby has been very nice.
Boring Bodega is a little plaza built adjacent to the Boring Company facility on FM 1209 between 71 and FM 969. I haven't been there, but am planning to head over there some weekend. It is right up the road from the gated entrances to the Colony subdivision on 1209.12thMan86 said:BlazingSaddles said:

What's the Boring Bodega? Are you in Double Eagle ?

I grew up there. it is no longer the quaint, small town I knew.
damn sure aint. In laws are in Smithville and the rare occasions I have to travel into Bastrop on the weekends I dread it. Traffic and the amount of people is nuts. A complete PITA.D. Turner said:Bucketrunner said:
