Wish I could say that was mine but it is not. My work truck is black though. I do not plaster my truck with roofing signs. I like to maintain a more reserved appearance. It's just not my personality. I've completed a lot of roofs for Ags from Austin to San Antonio to Houston and Dallas, but there are other Infinity Roofing project managers throughout the nation and no two are quite the same. That's why I try to ask homeowners to contact me directly via cell, text or email OR call my main office to verify but make sure to specifically ask for Jason Duke.

We got pretty beat up. 11 broken windows, some holes in the side of the house, roof and solar panels beat to hell, gutters wrecked, one roof vent knocked sideways. 1 broken windshield, lots of dents in all 4 cars.

Hmm, didn't think about solar panels in this mess. They must have got obliterated...are they even functional now?
Our peak generation is typically about 7.5-8 KW, we're now getting 5-5.3 KW max. Still functional, but pretty degraded

Of course I was out of town this weekend and both my cars were outside.

Somehow only my Audi ended up with 10-15 small dings and my old beater truck looks absolutely fine.

Guess it's worth filing a claim even with a $500 deductible. Assuming any hail related work is going to easily clear $1k.

File.

My deductible is $1,000 and my estimate just came back and the grand total was $6,100 for one of my vehicles!!

ha I used to work for them (and use them for property insurance) and I agree, they treat their customers well relative to other carriers.

So who has a good PDR guy? Not interested in leaving it at one of these insurance body shops.

This is listed on Facebook - never seen hail destroy body panels like this.

It was so bad man. So bad. The claims guy from USAA freaked out when he saw the holes punched in on the side of my house. Insane force behind those baseball sized hail

I met with Jason from Infinity yesterday. Great guy, super professional. If y'all haven't set up your repair/replacement yet, I highly recommend giving him a call.

I'll echo that. He came by my house as well and I would highly recommend him.

I have probably had 20 roofing guys stop by my office since the hail storm. Besides a little cosmetic damage I do not think I have any structural damage to my metal roof. I need to get up there and look at it closer myself. I just do not trust those guys that are telling me there is damage. I think they are just out for $$$.

File a claim and have the insurance adjuster come do an inspection. If he says there is then go from there.

Apparently the deductible is 40K+ so I really don't want a new roof unless needed.

Thank you for the shout out. It was great meeting you! While circumstances are unfortunate, I have greatly enjoyed meeting a bunch of folks that I otherwise just see from across a computer screen.

Thanks! As always, I enjoy meeting you guys. I am working down the list and have plenty of openings to get everyone in that has called or reached out. Remember, there is no reason to get in a hurry. Don't hesitate to reach out if anyone needs help or another set of eyes. I don't BS people on their roof. There have been a few folks that were on the very edge of this whose roofs handled things very well, and no further action was necessary.

I am 'assuming' you have a standing seam roof. Depending on where you are and your carrier, they may or may not deem it cosmetic. USAA is specifically who I am referring to. They recently did away with their cosmetic endorsements, so even dents for them will be covered.

That said, depending on where you were, the roof very well could be fine. I will say that if you are near I35 and you had serious hail, you will likely see that without a lot of effort. It will be significant and obvious. Even so, if you have a bunch of dents all over your roof and its a steep slope, doesn't hold water in the dents, and you don't have any crushed standing seams or 'tears', then it's mostly up to you whether you want to do anything about it.

Any roofers claiming it needs to be replaced better be backing that up with some photos. Judging by your hesitation, I'm guessing they have done no such thing, which is poor form. If I advise a customer to dole out thousands of dollars for an insurance claim recommendation, the least I can do is back it up with a few images of the damage that led me to that recommendation.

If you want me to swing by and have another set of eyes on it, I'm happy to.

Thanks for the reply. I may very well take you up on that. I'm heading out of town for a few days but I'll pm you when I get back. It certainly is nothing urgent for my roof but it would be nice to have someone that knows what to look for lay eyes on it.

Just had my roof replacement completed today in RR. Gutter guys came at 9:00am yesterday to remove gutters. Roofers then started around noon, removed old shingles and put down barrier, finished around 7:30pm.

Roofers returned at 7:30am this morning and completed the roof around 5:00pm. Had eight guys going after it. Tomorrow, the gutter guys will return to complete gutter work. I am the first person on my street to get their roof replaced.

I am really pleased with the roofing company and the guy I dealt with.

Anyone have a rec for a shop to do hail repair on a car?

My mechanic gave me a rec for Hail Specialists Auto Body and Collision but curious what the good people of TexAgs think.

Thanks in advance.

Bump...

My roof in Round Rock was just replaced yesterday by Jason's crew.

He made it super easy and I ended up with a better system than I had before (underlayment and shingles). He stopped by while they were working and again when they were finished and went over everything with me including the supplemental claim he'd file.

Hell, he even suggested the color of the shingles for me and it looks great.

Give him a call if you still need a roof.

Was there a hail storm around central/NW austin back in June? I believe so and am preparing to file a roof claim but not positive of the date. not positive when my hail damage actually occurred.

There have been a couple this year. The big one was 9/24/2023. My advice, without knowing your location, is to let the carrier provide your date to you. Some, not all, may use an incorrect date as justification for denying a claim. If you have a bunch of damage from September, but you tell them April and your address is outside of the all storm area, well, then that might not be great. Not all of them do this but some absolutely do. With a location, I can tell you which storm you are talking about. Even a cross street will suffice.

Yes. June 16. It may or may not have hit your location. I'm basing it off of radar estimates and recon data, not physical inspection. That's the official hail date though. But, many carriers will just use the September storm.

Thanks very much. I think my roof guy had said June too. My claim requiring an approximate date so I'm inputting June 1.
