Any recommendations on someone who can repair a wood burning stove fireplace? During the freeze the pipe disconnected from my moms house, luckily my brother was able to get there fast to help put it out but would like to get it repaired for her.

It's a stove pipe from the stove to the ceiling, the box the pipe goes into at ceiling, pipe that goes from the roof to the part in attic and a top that goes on top of the pipe at the roof to keep rain out.

She lives in South Austin, south of slaughter and Brodie.

Thanks!

Sounds like a "sheet metal" repair job. I googled a few in the Austin area. Just call them up and tell them what happened, maybe they can fabricate a new flue. We have a pot-belly stove in our home in Bastrop. Works great!

I have one in my house also.

Unless there was a big wall or foundation shift, the existing pipe sections should still be able to be fitted and aligned. They are sold in sections that insert by reduced ends, and are pre-manufactured. I guess if it came loose in the attic space where it might be insulated, it would be harder to reach and rejoin, but a GC should have someone they can bring in with installation experience.
