Heading to a concert downtown which hotel between these 2 is the nicest:

Jw Marriott downtown
Austin Marriott downtown (read this is new)

Both $171 and would be there 1 or 2 nights midweek.

The austin Marriott is brand new is reason why it caught my attention. But the jw is 2 blocks closer to acl live.

Stayed at the other one in August. It was fine but had a lot of new hotel issues.

I live across the street from the JW, and that would be my choice of the two, no doubt. It's a very easy walk to ACL live, and they have a nice holiday setup on the rooftop in December. Good location and better pre/post-concert options.

Check out the Firehouse Hostel Bar for cocktails. Best Sazerac cocktail I've ever had was at that place. They are also pour a great Old Fashioned.
