I have to get my picture done on my license, I did it in San Marcos last time and it was quick and easy. Any of the closer ones have decent wait times?
does that mean it is more crowded now? probably so considering how much that area has grown. but back in the day it was off the main road and kind of hard to find and so it was always empty compared to heading to the N Lamar DL office near DPSHQ.trouble said:
The new office is easier to get to.
Tried going there to get kid her DL... that place can't be busy, there are only like 15 parking spaces.Charpie said:
Anderson Mill has one off of Lakecreek. I've never waited more than 30 minutes

The Department has many driver license office locations statewide that can serve your needs. However, our Mega Centers are our premiere locations. If a Mega Center location appears in your search, we encourage you to visit this location for all of your driver license and identification card needs. If one is not available in your area, any office can assist you.
Mega Centers:
- Allow you to get in line online before you arrive at the office
- Have a larger number of support staff and service windows
- Allow you to schedule drive tests
This is an idea I can get into. If I was forced to eat pie at Bluebonnet every time I needed to do something with DPS, that would be a win!!!ATXAdvisor said:
I just make a leisurely drive to Marble Falls, usually less than a 5 min wait, then grab lunch at the Bluebonnet Cafe. The only real issue is not falling asleep on the drive home.
