Need a place near downtown( preferably southish or on the way to san antonio) that is good for families. Will have multiple kids under 3. Any suggestions?

Hills Cafe used to be that place. Well fenced, huge outdoors and good burgers. Haven't been in ten years though. A lot can happen to an Austin eatery in ten years.

One of the reasons we stopped going to Pinthouse Pizza. That and I hate communal seating, and the crowds were ridiculous at times.

We only do takeout from Pinthouse these days for those reasons. However, its not bad for lunch in the south location.
