Have now had just at 8" since 6ish this morning. I dumped the gauge at 4.75" around noon, and we have since had another 3.25".

Flow rate on Brazos at 105 took off from near 1000 cfs this morning to 6500 cfs and climbing rapidly.
Thompson Creek is heading to the Brazos River, which is full and looks to be backing up at Leonard Rd.
Walk softly and carry a big stick! Make sure the big stick makes big boom noises and flashy bright lights.
3.6 at Easterwood; 3.2 at Coulter. Got 4 inches at the house. Heck yeah, good day.

I have been following the watersmart guidelines all year. However, I think it's just not keeping up with the August heat and no rain. Looking around my neighborhood, there seems to be quite a bit of that going around. I think I'lkl move to three days a week.
My yard is still looking good on 2 days per week (have been doing that since the rain stopped), but it's glaringly obvious where there are coverage issues. I need to install higher risers on the sprays in the front yard. Hornbeck, you might want to increase your run times or add another cycle, so the landscape is good and soaked once the irrigation cycle is complete.
I am going to give up and paint my yard green.

Yeah. I got some of that driving to La Familia (where I had called my order in ahead of time like a smart person).
But the moisture was fleeting.
Heat island is too grand
Effing rain is going to form just south of us, isn't it.
It's on both the east and west side of us with nothing coming our way.
What a rip off.
Realistically, folks should plan on zero rain at least until October and probably not until later.
The Dome is still (almost) undefeated.
