I'll miss Murphy's Law
According to Rusty, it's still open and plans to stay open.

"Move in ready for a new dining or entertainment concept" seems to cast some doubt on that statement.

Salad and Go - 3200 S Texas Ave in Bryan

This was announced, but the building is now "for lease." I think Salad and Go fell through.

And there's plenty of street parking. Hell, we're downtown for lunch right now and parked right in front the restaurant.

It's been a hot minute since I've been there, but I think Murphy's Law is one half and the Bavarian place was the other ... I believe Murphy's is staying open but the other side is probably what they are referring to as move-in ready for a new concept.

Is the old IHOP location on University still being actively marketed for a lease or is it going to be absorbed by the project where Harry's was?

That could explain it and I had not considered it.

Salad N Go was good but there was never anyone there when I went.

AND I DO NOT SEE TRADER JOE'S OR WHOLE FOODS OR CENTRAL MARKET ON THAT LIST. GUESS I WILL CONTINUE TO GO TO THE ONES IN HOUSTON AND TEXT TROUBLE AND ASK, "Do you want this?" (I'm just kidding about this last part.)

This makes sense; I recall rumors not long ago that the German place was closing...owner retiring or leaving I think.

The College Station location is open. There was a proposed Bryan location that fell through, apparently.

Yayyyy for parking minimums *sarcasm*

My personal experience with people who complain about parking minimums just bought into some YouTube video they saw and have very little knowledge on the subject or can offer viable alternatives. (On that note, the overlap of "parking minimums are bad" and "they tore down downtown to make room for parking" types is high).

Didn't want to quote the whole list (thanks for making it!), but isn't Sephora in Century Sq. instead of Jones Crossing?

Don't want to derail the thread, would be happy to discuss in an appropriate place, but I work in the industry and understand both sides of the parking argument. The truth of the matter is there is no exact science to determining the proper number of parking spaces as every development has a hundred factors to consider. Parking minimums are at best an uneducated guess.

And to absolutely bore everyone to death, I recommend reading Paved Paradise - How Parking Explains the World by Henry Grabar.

Cities typically have minimum parking requirements too.
Trump will fix it.

Would like to respond but don't feel like making a thread tonight. Maybe some other time.

They have been veeeeeeeeery slow in opening locations in Houston and San Antonio. They announced three locations in the Houston back in 2021 and still haven't opened the doors on the Spring location just yet. They're ready--tax stuff is lined up, building's all ready to go, but nothing yet.

Bubbas next to the Mercedes dealership. Looks like a nicer gas station with the fun travel foods.

So now the bypass is going to be filled with Bubbas?? Gas station, restaurant at the Cinemark parking lot…What are we, redneck central?

Maybe we need a Bubba Gump Shrimp in Bryan at the old Hooters to balance out the Bubbas in town?

When it rains, it pours!

I could go for a Bubba Gump. Even chain seafood beats the lack of non-Cajun and non-fried options.

I know, Christopher's, Republic… yadda, yadda.

There is one in Houston as well. It wasn't too bad. I'm not normally one for regular plain donuts or donut holes, but theirs were tasty.
Why yes, yes I really do run the best (and only) BCS ICEE Guide!
