I contacted Peters with my concerns about raising taxes the last go around.
He never got back to me.
He will hear from me next time he is up for election, through my vote against him.

It's not a facelift. It's the project to fix the drainage issue between the two buildings. Thankfully.
It doesn't take a lot of rain for that area to be under water.

These buildings are way too new to be having these problems. Isnt this the exact same issue that CSHS had with the baseball fields and football stadium?
Is anyone holding these contractors responsible for shady work? Were they paid? If so, have lawsuits been filed? Or do they just wait a couple years and hit up the taxpayers for more money?

Is it possible the original contractors are the ones footing the bill to make these corrections?
I suspect with a little research, information about the project, its cost, and the reason for the project could be indentified without coming on forums with wild guesses and acusations.CS78 said:
Thanks. I was just responding to your post. Not actually asking you.
These are questions that everyone should be asking when we see our taxes being wasted.
I imagine that the 3rd part contractor is work a number of jobs at the same time and shuttles workers back and forth depending on need. Having multiple jobs going at the same time minimizes costly downtimes. I assume they have a target completion date and besides that, there is no sense of urgency on completing the work....and then you have automatic constract extensions based on weather and other factors.Hornbeck said:
So, it takes 4 months to put in some French drains?
The project was to "fix the drainage issue between the buildings"…
Or the burning fire approach. Wait until you are up against a hard deadline, then rush all of your workers to that job, neglecting all others.maroon barchetta said:
We call that "the Knife River approach".
Commissioner Nettles has also mentioned this. You might want to out to him if you have some specific ideas.Hornbeck said:
We need a Brazos County DOGE.
I bet that 90% of all large contractors who know how to run their business have multiple jobs going at any one time. Three of the questions in my contractor insurance inspections for GL coverage is how many ongoing jobs do you have, how many jobs do you do annually, and the average contract price of a job. Most all have multiple work at any one time.maroon barchetta said:

I can add to the story. Some HOA's are bored with current annual fees, so they hold emergency special fee assessments that are mandatory for projects. Nobody really cares if you are struggling to pay your weekly grocery bill.
My post of how to get the current DOGE to consider the Brazos Transit District operation got canned by the mods...Hornbeck said:
