This is a new one for me. Package supposed to deliver today. It is in Bryan, but this morning at 10:23 it says there is a Regional Weather Delay.

I guess the 2 inches of rain this morning was too much for the postal service to deal with.

Depends on the streets. There was definitely more than 2 inches on my street, but that didn't last all day.

They probably could've just waited an hour or two to do the streets that got the most rain (or have the worst drainage).

Just noticed that note you posted was after 10 AM. Pretty sure major amounts of rain and flooding were gone by then.

and we are getting normal mail deliveries

Can you explain where this is? It seems you posted South South College Station College Station. And I'm confused.
You don't know? It's in that general area.

I haven't noticed too much different....we are always three or four days delayed in anything important.

Not as bad as some, HOWEVER!!!

My regular carrier warned me in Beryl aftermath that delivery would be spotty. Mostly junk. BUT then we hit weekend when carrier is off and the 'substitute' comes a long or rather does not. Mail still in box from Saturday for pickup- I see a contract package guy at neighbors yesterday and sure enough he rolls by my mailbox.

Wonder of pony express was any better?

An update: The package from Normangee eventually found it's way to our house yesterday.

The replacement package from the retailer is due to be received today.

Was driving up our street yesterday. Saw the USPS van pull up to my neighbor's gate.

Driver throws a package out of his window at the gate, then backs up and pulls up to the mailbox and works to stuff a huge amount of mail into the box. Looked like several days worth.

Then peels out of there.

I texted the details to my neighbor. She was not happy. We had no mail yesterday so I asked her to check and make sure ours wasn't in that bundle.

They are not good at their jobs.
