Stuff in the forecast has been the hurricane the whole time. They've just moved it more our direction. I wouldn't get too excited yet. Could still end up on the dry side of this one if it peels right too soon.

Latest update has decreased the rain chances and raised the temps from this morning's forecast. That said, these things change every few hours so…

Oh OK. I thought they were separate. Monday through Wednesday seem like the greatest chances for solid rain.
Not sure what weather you're looking at. I see the opposite. Monday and Tuesday high temps dropped way down to 81 and 83 with much higher rain chances vs even this morning's forecasts.
Looking at the KBTX weather app (the iPhone one is complete garbage). And the "83" there now was not there this morning. As I said, the uncertainty results in shifting forecasts frequently.
We will know a lot more once it gets off land and back over water. They keep saying once it reintensifies, they will be more accurate in the forecast, because it is more stanle.
First rains will be due to a cool front pulling up tropical moisture. Next will the remnants of Beryl. It was probably going to rain either way.

I always tell people this. Rarely it's regular or scattered showers. Usually it's apocalyptic Armageddon type stuff

If that's spread out over 14-16 hours that's fine. If it dumps in a matter of 3 hours, that's a problem.
