Are you speculating or is this the confirmed time?

That's why I am not attending at all.

Last time I saw George, he came on at 930. Unfortunately, the second act had a full set, which was awful.

LOTS of tics available at cost or less.

I saw him at AT&T stadium about 10 years ago for his "farewell" tour.

I think anyone who is paying >$100 to see him at an outdoor venue that holds >100k people with bleachers in Texas in June is totally flipping nuts.

Knock yourself out.

i think a lot of people bought tickets hoping to re-sell them at a profit and they have regret now

I've seen him twice and both times it was like watching your grandpa cover George Strait songs. I get people are fanatical in their fandom for him (I guess because he's from Texas), but there are a ton of better acts that write their own songs you can see for less money. I surely wouldn't pay a premium to get heat exhaustion watching a WAY past their prime artist in front of 100k outdoors. It's difficult enough to get FOH sound right outdoors, and with all the humidity you are either going to get out of tune instruments, vocals or both through the echoes of outdoor sound.

Hard pass for me. I was given tickets and gave them to a friend.

That's my thought based on the sheer amount of tickets that are for sale. There can't be this many people that all of a sudden can't make it. The first 3.5 pages of the ticket exchange board is all George Strait tickets.

Like I said on another thread about this, I'm interested in how many people actually show up since so many people are trying to get rid of tickets. I'll bet there are a lot of people that are planning to go but waiting last minute for the sellers to get desperate and let them go for cheap.

Next year, we need an EDM festival in Kyle Field in early April. EDM is electronic dance music.

Imagine being able to draw 100,000 people despite being "way past their prime," I can't imagine why Strait didn't call it quits years ago.

Willie, DAC, Motley Crue etc etc there are a lot of acts that "draw" even though they are shells of themselves. That is in no way an indicator of show quality

If I had gone, I promise it would have been recorded by at least 5,000 people sitting in front or beside me holding up phones and a few holding up iPads.

I watched the photos and thought the same. We're talking about a dude that sings…on a stage…like music you can hear on the radio….except now you can do it in June while seeing him half a mile away shoulder to shoulder with the plebes. Sounds awesome!

Regardless of my complete disdain for concerts of any sort, the dude is not past his prime. He doesn't write music. He doesn't dance around. He stands with his guitar and sings songs people like. The beauty is that you don't get past your prime doing this until much later. If you want to see what it looks like to decline in performing ability, check out Motley Crue and mick jagger.

One of my favorite concerts ever. It was kind of surreal sitting on the floor of Kyle Field and looking up at a packed stadium. Sound was great and the heat was not even bad. And George was in fine form.
