Start time now says 6pm. How long will the two opening acts play? What time will George take the stage? Thx!

Outdoor stadium in June in Texas to see people they probably never heard of?
i think a lot of people bought tickets hoping to re-sell them at a profit and they have regret nowTemple Ag said:
LOTS of tics available at cost or less.
I saw him at AT&T stadium about 10 years ago for his "farewell" tour.
I think anyone who is paying >$100 to see him at an outdoor venue that holds >100k people with bleachers in Texas in June is totally flipping nuts.
Knock yourself out.
I've seen him twice and both times it was like watching your grandpa cover George Strait songs. I get people are fanatical in their fandom for him (I guess because he's from Texas), but there are a ton of better acts that write their own songs you can see for less money. I surely wouldn't pay a premium to get heat exhaustion watching a WAY past their prime artist in front of 100k outdoors. It's difficult enough to get FOH sound right outdoors, and with all the humidity you are either going to get out of tune instruments, vocals or both through the echoes of outdoor sound.Temple Ag said:

Imagine being able to draw 100,000 people despite being "way past their prime," I can't imagine why Strait didn't call it quits years ago.EliteElectric said:I've seen him twice and both times it was like watching your grandpa cover George Strait songs. Hard pass for me. I was given tickets and gave them to a friend.
Willie, DAC, Motley Crue etc etc there are a lot of acts that "draw" even though they are shells of themselves. That is in no way an indicator of show qualityHorn_in_Aggieland said:Imagine being able to draw 100,000 people despite being "way past their prime," I can't imagine why Strait didn't call it quits years ago.EliteElectric said:I've seen him twice and both times it was like watching your grandpa cover George Strait songs. I watched the photos and thought the same. We're talking about a dude that sings…on a stage…like music you can hear on the radio….except now you can do it in June while seeing him half a mile away shoulder to shoulder with the plebes. Sounds awesome!
