Is that the name of the lady at Shipley who has worked there for 20+ years and is always so nice?

I've talked to that lady many times but never have known her name.

I have always had amazing service at Harvey Washbangers but want to brag on the manager, Alex, and one of his servers, Haley. My father had advanced Alzheimer's and was between facilities last February. My mother needed a break and to just get out of the house so we went to Washbangers for lunch. I went in early and explained the situation to Alex who is always working his tail off but still has time to talk with the customers. He suggested we sit in Haley's section and I quickly learned why. She was amazing with my dad. He was not very verbal at that point but she still treated him like any other customer. She talked to him and was patient with his struggles. Ever since then, I've noticed her when I've gone in and see that she is always a very considerate server who treats each table like it is her main priority. That seems to be the case with most of the staff at Harvey Washbangers. That place always brightens my day.

I love your story, very cool. I talked to the owner of Washbangers yesterday at church and he said he hadn't seen this thread. I showed him your post and it put a huge smile on his face to read your story and to hear about the great job his staff are doing. I know that's the kind of staff he wants and the culture he would instill so really cool to get to bring Alex and Haley to his attention and shine some light on them.

We just dined in at Christopher's this evening and were chatting about with Karen. I let her know about this post and how fantastic she is and what a staple she has become to the restaurant.

I hope she finds the post and how many people have enjoyed her service through the years. She truly is fantastic to visit with!

Will I receive said ban hammer for simply pointing out that the title should read "BCS Positive people who make a difference"?

Chris at Choate monument is a great guy.

My Mom and Dad are both WW2 veterans and their government headstones need the letters repainted. I called several monument companies and got prices as high as 500 bucks. Chris said he would do it for 140.00 I will report back when the job is completed but I feel confident they will do a great job.

In the news today is a story about a contractor that requested money up front "for materials" before doing a job for a homeowner, which he did not complete.

We see this story too often.

maddiedou has remodeled two bathrooms for us and did a great job and never asked for a dime up front.

Thanks to the people on this board for recommending him, and thanks to maddiedou for doing business the right way.

How do I get in contact? I am looking at doing this soon and I want to start gathering prices from someone reputable here locally to make sure I budget for it properly.

Wait. I thought I was her only friend. Just kidding.

Her saying thank you my friend makes for a great start to a day.

Two for me.

Pam, the manager at Whataburger on Rock Prairie, is always super-friendly and accomodating.

The other is the guy at McDonalds on RP. He is super-efficient and reminds me of the Chotchkies guy on Office Space (but nice). His replies are "awesome" and "excellent". It makes it fun to go through there.

Two thumbs up to Megan, our mail carrier on College Station Route 56; she is outstanding!!! Best Carrier we have had since moving back here in May 1995! And, our delivered mail does correspond with what we see on USPS Informed Delivery emails!

Our Route 56 is not in the city limits

If someone knows a number or email at the US Postal Service where we can give positive feedback, please let us know.

Thankful that staff kept this going since the first of the year

With tomorrow being the Brazos valley gives big day and so thankful we live is such a caring community how can we expand this original thought?

I still believe there are way too many people that really are very positive and make a big difference but might personally be struggling. The law office that is on KBTX and gives 500 bucks to a remarkable person as advertising is good, but it is through someone that nominates them etc.

A thank you is always good but for those that really go beyond is there a way to use technology and give a better thank you without the other issues

Something to ponder, and keep acknowledging all the positive folks we have in this great place we call home

Don't know if it has been said, but Miss Laurie that runs the register at Zeitman's is always personable and pleasant. She asked my coworker and me what our names were since we are in there so often.

Also want to give a shout out to the staff at 7 Brews. They are consistently in a great mood and don't mind chatting with you while your drinks are made. Not something you always get from the younger generation. Even my boys have commented on how nice they are.

Edit to say that I showed her this post anonymously then introduced myself so that I could add her name. She loved the post!

The crew at the Cameron Ranch Exxon in the mornings is always great. Very friendly, and you can tell they actually enjoy their work and interacting with customers.

Also, the older lady that works at the Wheelock Express. She about brought me to tears a few months ago. I'd stopped in their with my dad and my son on the way out to our property, and she commented on how fortunate I was to be able to spend time with both of them.

I'm not sure where he's working now, but the last time I saw him he was working at the Briarcrest Chick-fil-a. His name is Timothy, and he has been helping BCS folks in various places going back to at least the late 80's. I met him when I was in high school and he helped me at a men's clothing store just outside of Foley's. He's always had a smile, remembered my name, been in a great mood, and provided outstanding customer service. If I ever started a customer service business, he's the first person I would go track down and hire.
