From listening to Broadcastify, there has been a shooting at Hensel Park.

To avoid being accused of putting police at risk and people demanding I be banned (not in the mood for an argument or fight tonight) I will not post any specifics of what the police are doing. Basically, they are doing exactly what the police would do in such a situation.

Right now it is still on the main channel on Broadcastify, but eventually they will likely switch to an encrypted channel.

Suspect in custody.

He did exchange fire with the police. Heard the gunfire on the radio.

Brazos County is now #1 on listeners on Broadcastify. Only seen that once before, when they thought there was a mass shooting at Post Oak Mall.

Thanks for the heads up. The park is really close to my house. I didn't hear any sirens though, and I've been outside since about 7pm enjoying the cool air.

Medics got called because the suspect claims to have coronavirus.

Far more likely it is a last ditch effort to avoid going to jail.

According to kbtx, the shooter is a 22 year old grad student. Victim is 24 year old non student, shot twice, and is in the hospital.

Shooter also fired at a constable deputy when they located him. Deputy did not return fire.

Plus that is way to fast for a psych transport. The process takes much longer.

How the heck does a guy who shot someone twice and then fired 4 shots when he was being approached by a law enforcement officer get a $50,000 bond? Even the pervs who get duped by officers into meeting an underage person regularly get 10x that. Or a million.

So shooting at a law enforcement officer is "without incident"? Is this like the "mostly peaceful rioting".

If a law enforcement officer is responding to a call of a person getting shot and then the officer is targeted by the assailant, why is that not attempted capital murder? Just asking because I don't know the answer.

There really havent been details released. Is it possible it was a self defense shooting, and the shooter didnt realize it was law enforcement when the constable drove up? Their cars arent like other LEO vehicles in the area. The constable didnt return fire, so i would assume at that point, the guy put down his gun and complied.
