Most likely just an error in the reporting, but always possible someone was admitted for something else, tested negative at that time, and came down with it a day or two later.

I would assume they still keep coronavirus patients at least somewhat isolated from everyone else.

And am I correct in saying that these are patients in the hospital WITH the virus, not necessarily BECAUSE of the virus?

If they fall under new admits, they were admitted with covid as their admitting diagnosis.

My mom says there are cases at Arbor Oaks where she lives.

According to the county update this morning, there is only one Brazos county resident in the hospital. There might be a nursing facility breakout, but it doesn't appear it is here in BCS.

Nothing that I've heard, but of course I only have it on in the evening.

Not even really a lot of calls for what may be coronavirus related.

Of course, there could be 5+ calls a day to a nursing home, but all are when I'm at work or sleeping, or as GoodOle said, it could be outside of Brazos County which I'd say is at least very possible.

Obviously if I hear something out of the ordinary which appears to mean an outbreak somewhere, I'll pop into the thread with an update.

Well, over two years after starting this post, I finally have it.

Dr said they are seeing a surge but with severity staying relatively mild.

Hope you feel better quickly.

I knew a ton of people around the last surge (Christmas/New Year) who had it, but haven't heard of many recently. Wonder if it will be a longer/flatter wave with daily numbers staying low.
