He posts on the auto board and has a hookup at Tommie Vaughn Ford in Houston that will beat 99% of all the other deals out there with absolutely no haggle. Email 1ags and tell him you want his Ford contact - he's hooked up dozens of TexAgs folks and all are extremely happy. No games, no worries.

+1 Don't waste your time and sanity with a random lot walker.

I wanted a Ford, went there, and bought a Toyota. Enjoyed waving at the dude from my Toyota afterward.
1ags seems like a good dude, maybe I should have talked to him first. Can't say anything positive about the rest.

Just purchased my second and last vehicle from them. Awful experience this past time. Drive to Navasota. You are welcome

Neither have much inventory on what we are looking for and my experience has always been that you can get a better deal on an in-stock vehicle.

I've dealt many times with Mac Haik in Houston so if I wanted to go back to Houston I know what kind of deal I can get there, but didn't really want to have to go back to Houston. Everyone sounds so negative about College Station Ford that I may have to.

I liked Francisco. Young but did everything he said he would and called me once or twice since I bought my car to make sure I am still happy.

I dealt with James Souter there for a while and liked him. Wound up buying a Chevrolet at Tom Light but James is who I would talk to at Varsity/CSF. I think he's a veteran too.

The aforementioned Tommy Vaughn contact in Houston is also very good. I would get with her first, then take that price to Varsity and see if they'll beat it.

you can't go wrong with 1ags. many satisfied customers.
I would shop online as well. Those guys deal in volume and are motivated to make a deal

Bought my first and last vehicle from the then Varsity Ford in 1999. I got what I wanted, for the $$ I wanted, but the experience was horrendous. Next Ford came from Brenham dealer, online and a couple of phone calls, polar opposite of the College Station root canal experience.

That was 17 years ago. WOW. They have been sold a couple times since them.

Go see Simba at CS Ford. One of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. Plus, he has a photographic memory so when you walk in a few months after buying your car he will remember your name and what you bought (true story).

They may have changed names (not sold), but a leopard can't (or won't) change his spots. If I had been treated poorly elsewhere, maybe a return to Varsity/CS Ford would have happened. Otherwise, why return to a place of misery?
And though the bad experience was 17 yrs ago, it has not been that long since another Ford was purchased.

College Station Ford has new ownership. The same group that bought Varsity Ford in 2014 bought the Garlyn Shelton dealership last year.

The new owners I believe also own Tomball Ford and Port Lavaca Ford which are both high volume dealers that will sell their cars for less. I know alot of people don't like haggling, etc; all I care about is getting the best deal. That being said I don't know what kind of changes have been made at College Station Ford.

As you can view, I don't post a great deal and I know that I am a rookie. I want to second any notion to stay away from College Station Ford. I knew about the contact at Tommie Vaughn and wish we would have made time for the trip. We were over a barrel because my wife was in an accident and her car was deemed a total, thus without a second vehicle. I would not recommend this to anyone except maybe a few t-sips. Not once, did anyone ask about our feelings or offer suggestions on how they could help. We felt more like cattle than customers. Heck, my wife left the dealership (I had to leave to work a second job) late and she was exhausted. Talked to the manager about the service and he mentioned that they have a new vehicle class that you can learn everything about your new vehicle. We asked how come we did not hear about this? He said that the service department would be the ones that would let us know, not the salesperson. Do yourself a favor and go to Navasota, to Houston, to Dallas, anywhere but College Station Ford. Sorry about the long version but trust me, this is actually the short version.

Went there a few months ago for the first time. Wasn't crazy that they were standing in front of the parking spots, playing on their phones and waiting for us to get out of the car, but whatever. A young guy approached us and took us over to the vehicle we were interested in. He seemed semi-knowledgeable but couldn't answer several questions we had.

Anyway, after talking in his "office" for a while we left. No follow up from him (not that we cared, but pretty much every other salesperson at every other dealership we went to reached out to us within a day). My wife was going back-and-forth on the Ford, so we went back a few days later. Same guy greeted us.......but didn't recognize us until we brought up that we had already gone on a test drive with him just days earlier.

So, we got him to work up some numbers for us and he excuses himself. Five minutes later, an even younger guy comes in and proceeds to read back all the details and requirements we had gone over with the salesman. My wife finally interrupted him with "....and why are we talking to you?"

We ended up going back to Bob at Allen Honda. Don't think I'll ever go back to CS Ford.

A close family member had hell getting them to actually do warranty work. They kept claiming it was not under warranty. He wound up taking it to Navasota, and the guy said "Yeah, we get that story a lot". They fixed the issue under warranty.

Diff'rent Strokes.

Henson Ford in Madisonville is definitely worth the short drive. Very easy to work with on price. They found what I wanted at another dealership, traded for something on their lot and had my vehicle the next day. As stated above, the only variable was the trade in and I didn't care for their offers for it, but they worked with me on it. They sent me home overnight with a used vehicle and the next day one of their used car buyers made an offer on my trade in that worked for me.

+ 1 for avoiding CS Ford. Ugh.

Take your money to a dealership that respects its customers and isn't a huge hassle to give your business to.

There's really no point buying anywhere else if you want a Ford.

Since 2011 I have bought 4 vehicles at College Station Ford. I have never closed a deal with them that I didn't feel good about. I priced vehicle at Cross Ford in Caldwell & Apple in Brenham they were both couple of thousand higher.
I have never dealt with anyone but Simba great salesman how he remembers all of my family names I don't get it, I forget my name sometime.
As for service my daughters 2013 Escape had a leak around the windshield they worked on it 2 times and it still leaked. I was talking to Simba when the owner came by I explained what was going on he said it would be fixed a few minutes later the man in charge of service came by to set up appointment. He asked to leave the car with them for a few days and that they would give her a rental car.
3 days later he called said vehicle was fixed and the water stains removed.
So I guess it's like everything in life some folks have a good time some don't with dealing with car dealers. I have sent 4 or 5 people to see Simba they all said they got great deals.
I would no go to the Quick Lube they have that's a total different story.

you must be one of the only one's that has had a great experience. Been in there multiple times and never got a straight forward answer, didnt deal with simba but even the service department was horrendous. Told the Manager there that I would never buy a car from them because of how crappy the service department had been. As for the new owners the service at Garlyn Shelton are just as bad.
