My DH just knew he had seen the second house (in Bryan) before, and it was driving him crazy trying to figure out where it was. Of course, he Google Mapped it. Pulled up an area that he thought the house would be and found a view of a red porch and the a shed in the yard. Zoomed it and yep....he found it. It is off Broadmoor.

I feel horrible for the home owners watching who they bought the house from. I'd be pretty embarrassed if someone told national TV that my carpet was nasty, gross, and smelled like cat pee!

Great episode though! I enjoyed watching. I had a few questions myself..

Which wine bar were they at in the last portion of the filming?
If they closed in Feb on the home, was it already purchased during filming?
I found it odd that all the houses were empty. Were they packed up for the show?

The way I see it is that anytime you have Bryan/College Station/Texas A&M showcased on a National TV program in a positive manner, that is good publicity for our local BCS community.

Great footage of some local Ags showing off their Aggie Spirit!!!

The one they chose was the best of the bunch (esp if its in pebble creek) but I was surprised at all 3 options.... really thought for 250k you would have some better options to choose from.

I liked the one in Bryan and the also the new one that they showed. I am not a big fan of garages being one of the main features of the front of a house and I don't like the 90s exterior style of homes that were built in this area. With that said, it was a nice house that they picked in a nice neighborhood.

Does anyone know if they will film more episodes here? It would be nice to see homes in Indian Lakes, Traditions and some of the other nice neighborhoods on the show.

Speaking of Indian Lakes, wasn't it featured on the travel channel before as the #1 eco-friendly neighborhood in America?

I watched the show but it was so obvious it was rehearsed. Not so much on the other shows. It was interesting to watch knowing it was local.

From the looks of it, it looks to me as if it was at Downtown Uncorked in downtown Bryan.

As badly as they tried to represent Bryan, they sure did spend a lot of time in downtown doing stuff...

That house off E 29th in Bryan is only about 10 minutes from campus. Actually, it might be closer than one of the CS houses.

Where is the new construction house (#1) located?

I agree that the Bryan house is closer to campus than their house in Pebblecreek.

HGTV has episodes of House Hunters on its website, but I have not seen that one yet. Maybe in the next few days it will be up.

For informational purposes only, the distances from the George Bush Presidential Library for the three houses are as follows(I used Cranberry Dr. and Pebble Creek Country Club for the CS homes):

Memorial Forest home in Bryan: 5.42 miles

Pebble Creek C.C.: 8.77 miles

Cranberry Dr.: 9.29 miles

HA, you know what your carpet is like when you put the house up

i liked the ep

it seemed to 'showcase' a&m/the community moreso than other HH episodes & their respective communities

The owner had the choice to fix up the house and they didn't. They put it up as-is and at a reduced rate. Killer fixer upper op for the couple.

I bought the house that was too expensive while they were looking on the computer.

The rejected house "too close to the freeway" was in South Hampton (Nantucket buffer) by Highway 6.

Once the news got out that the home did not back up to apartments and was the closest of the three choices to A&M, it flew off the market.

Next you'll tell me Storage Wars is a put on at which point I'll have to burn this place down.

Seriously though some folks need/should back away from the keyboard. It's going to be ok.
