The episode centers around buyers Kristin Cooper King '03 and Will King '97, who are looking for a home near Texas A&M that will fit their growing family. What home will they chose? Tune in to see! We're excited to see Aggieland and the Bryan-College Station community in the national spotlight!

Below are some photos from the filming of the home and Aggie tailgate segments of the show:

I used to love this show until I learned that the buyers already have a pending contract on one of the houses and the other two houses are just shown for funsies so viewers can choose which one they like

Oh well, it's still fun to pretend.

Why'd you have to go and ruin it for the rest of us?

That actually makes me feel a little better in some ways.
I never could figure out how in the world they could get people to agree to pick one of only three choices.

When they did the last episode with some Aggie grads, you could see them standing in front of their diplomas (with their names on them) in one of the shots at a house they were "looking at." They had been in for a while before the show even taped. I figure most are staged episodes done for entertainment value and revenue generation.

I didn't. HGTV put out that info in 2010. Didn't keep me from watching, though

Our friends sister did that show in Austin. They already bought the house before they filmed the show.

Very cool! I just figured the three they showed were the top choices

Watch the disclaimers on all the shows. They are professional productions.

There are scripts and actors in many cases.

It is entertainment, and that is how HGTV and other channels make a profit.

Next you'll try to tell me those experts on Pawn Stars aren't really called in anytime the guys need to know more about certain items.

I love the show. So I'm assuming storage wars is also staged. Dang'it.

Really enjoyed the episode, and thought they did a great job of 'showing off' Aggieland. It was also obvious how much Kristin and Will love living here. They are great 'ambassadors' for A&M and College Station. Looks like they got a great house, too!

"Is that apartments?"

"Afraid so"

I believe those were not apartments but instead offices. At one time the name of the complex was Copperchase, may be different now.

I'd also like to know how far that home in Memorial Forest was from A&M compared to the homes in College Station.

Liked the show. I wonder how much impact, if any, the + / - comments by the potential buyers on the show have on the sale of the homes that are not picked?

Ok episode. Didn't like how they said Bryan as if it was 20 miles away from campus. The house backing up to the 'freeway' I am betting was in either Snug Harbor or South Hampton. And THAT would have been farther from campus than Memorial Forest.

The announcer lady said Bryan was 10 minutes from College Station. LOL! Actually 0 minutes. Well I guess if you are talking about North Bryan then it could be 10 minutes. Probably not even then would it be 10 minutes.

WOW! they even got a Bushes Baked Beans Commercial!

Actually I think those are apartments if I'm not mistaken. I used to know someone who lived I those. (if in fact those are the same ones). You go down Memorial and take, I believe, the 2nd right? I can't remember exactly. It's been a while since I abe been over there...

Scotch- there are apartments behind that house. We looked at it when we were house shopping. No question.

Does anyone know what neighborhood the nineties house was in that they ended up buying?
Scotch

Turtle8529- If I am wrong I will post a mea culpa, but the buildings shown on HGTV look exactly like Copper Chase(which looks to have been painted since the pictures taken on the site I linked).

Edit: I live about 5 minutes away so I drove over and took a quick snapshot. This view is slightly to the right of what was shown on the show, but I am now 100% sure those are not apartments.

That said, let's get back to discussing the family and the positive press for Texas A&M and College Station. I wish that great exposure had not partially occurred at Bryan's expense, but I am ready to move on.

I was curious. Looks like the house is near the house that has the musical Christmas lights every year.
