Guys,

I got a nice ten point this evening and will be in the Corpus area for the next few days. Anyone know of a decent processor in the area? Any tips would be much appreciated.

When I lived there, we always used Clarkwood, but they burned down...

Sorry! Congrats on the animal! Where did you hunt at?

No problem. I wound up taking the deer to Randolphs. I've used their taxidermy service and they are very good. I decided to give their game processing a try. They are a smaller operation and I got a good vibe from them.

I got the deer near Mathis,TX. Thanks for the congrats.

If you are using Randolphs you are paying too much for your processing. Go to Beeville and use the Meat Market. In regards to taxidermy, please give me a call or come by my shop in Aransas Pass. I think our work is superior to any taxidermists in South Texas. 361-758-7878

I know it is too late, but my dad uses A&H Processors. I believe they are off of Leopard.

I use A&A processing off of greenwood, we keep them because they are family friends. However, this season I brought in 2 does and 20 lbs. of hog meat to get processed right before thanksgiving. They gave away my order to someone else with my last name, were not going to do anything about it until the owner went out and shot 2 does and they are buying the pork from a meat market. Even after all of that I called today to see if it was CLOSE to being done...they still haven't started.

P.S. while I can't give that good of a recomendation, I was there when a guy brought in a nalgai that was easily over 500 lbs. and they processing staff listed it as around 300. I am not sure if the scales were off or the workers are idiots but you might think of taking a big game animal there to get processed (not sure if there is a flat rate fee though).
