I have a Remington rifle purchased new in '21 at Academy. Maybe 30 rounds thru it with good accuracy and no issues. Then would not group…varying right and left 5-7 inches at 100yds. Changed scope and rings and confirmed issue is with gun. Took to a good gunsmith who went thru it and tested. Said it needs to go back to manufacturer.
From serial #, know that gun was manufactured by the current Rem Arms company. Their customer service # is a recording that call center is down and directs to website. Website is no help at all. ARGH. Does anyone have any advice or know a good REM rep that may offer suggestion? I know much has changed with this company/manufacturer but hoping to figure out a way to get some help. Thanks in advance.

What did the smith say was wrong that the mfr needs to fix? Good accuracy turning bad all of a sudden sounds like you dinged the crown or something. Run a q tip around the bore at crown and see if it snags? Maybe it just needs a good cleaning/copper removal? Same ammo from good groups to bad?

Gunsmith cleaned it good and ran through the normal problems - including checking crown. He also shot it using different ammo (me too) and encountered same issue. He ended up- by process of elimination - deciding it must be an issue with barrel. Hoping someone knows how to contact a "helpful human" at Remington Arms.

Some of the marine products like Hummingbird, Minn Kota etc have distributors that also sell other outdoor stuff like RCBS, Hornady, scopes and firearm brands. I have a contact with Browning but nothing that comes to mind on Remington.
I'll make some calls to the marine distributors that also do firearms and such and see if I can find a contact.

I would page Eyeguy or Yesterday on this board. Both are gun dealers. Perhaps they themselves might know how to get in touch with a Remington factory rep.

Made some calls. Talked with my contact at Dunkin - Lewis who are distributors for Blaser, Walther, Zeise, Minn Kota, Hummingbird, and others. He suggested reaching out to a company called Sports South in Shreveport Louisiana. They said they think they are a distributor for Remington Arms. They sell to outdoor and gun stores.
Perhaps they can help get you a Remington contact.
