Budget less than $2K

Hogs

100 yards and in

Mounted, but flexibility for handheld (DNT Optics?) would be nice

Might stretch budget to $3K if it's REALLY worth it

If you're using an AR platform then I'd recommend the Nocpix Slim series.

The 640 H35 is $2499 which is a hell of a value.

Thank you

Thoughts on Rix S6R as another one to consider?

If you're in the Houston area there's a guy down in Webster who does a lot of thermal business. Gets good quality used stuff sometimes. You could need up with a good quality scope for less than new. Let me know if you're interested.

I went budget and got the DNT Hydra because i wanted one with LRF and 640 resolution and it appeared that the cheapest AGM or Pulsar or other quality brands with both were way over $2k at the time. I've been happy with it. QD mount so I can use as a handheld or quickly mount and return to zero.

Looks like I can get either the Rix or Nocpix for about $25-2600 before taxes

The former has laser range finder, which would be nice for coyotes (we have them)

Or the Nocpix for a little better image quality.

if your budget is less than $2k get a cheap thermal scanner to find pigs then get a green light mounted on an AR

then save your money for a scope

Agm rattler. Works as handheld or scope with the qd mount. For that range i like 2x power. You can get a 384 v2 for $1395 on Amazon and I think Legacy outdoors. 384 will work especially short range but jumping up to 640 is nice. Those without range finder are $2300 or so. Also beware if you hunt enough you'll want a handheld too.

yeah the scope only life got old quick. so you get a scanner, then it was a drone, then night vision, then divorce

Wow. Whatever happened to using a predator call you actually manually did, red lense spotlight and actual hunting for predators?

I kid.

Boat racing is like a beautiful woman.......expensive, high maintenance, but well worth the fun!

Once you switch from a green/red mounted spotlight to a thermal, I don't think you can ever go back
