Spent the day detecting the Blanco section in front of 7A Ranch. Didn't find anything great but was a good way to spend the day, so no complaints.

The Comal is still running pretty high from the rain a couple months ago and the Guadelupe also. I was honestly a little surprised the Blanco is running so low.

Any of yall live on the Blanco? Did it flow well for a while after the big rain or did it go back to the normal trickle within days?

I have a ranch just outside of Blanco. The river ran fairly decent for a while but definitely has slowed down quite a bit. I have a couple of wet weather creeks on the ranch and they have not run for any appreciable time in the last several years. I think it is because we still need to get the groundwater table to recover from this prolonged drought. I read the other day we are still an entire year worth of rain behind. The Blanco river does not start too far away from the town of Blanco and I imagine those springs are still suffering as well. But at least it is better than I have seen it in the last few years.

I live just a few blocks from the Comal Springs here in New Braunfels. We FINALLY have water flowing again at the headwaters for the first time in at least two years and it's nice to see.
