We are going to be in crystal beach for the next few days and would like to do some (shore) fishing. I'm not very experienced with surf fishing and have grown up fishing packery channel in Corpus. Is there anything similar around here or another good option? I have not found a pier yet.

Thanks!

The North Jetty can be good for just about anything that swims.

North jetty is probably your best bet for what you're used to. Or crossing over to seawolf or the 91st street

I actually had a cancelation the next two days. My group got covid amd canceled on me.
I can boat across and pick yall up at Bolivar yacht basin.
Good luck no matter what.

Was just down there. If the N Jetty doesn't do it for you, you can always soak some bait in the intracoastal. Found a good spot for that near a derelict restaurant at the end of Bay-vue dr. Get some crabs, split them in half and put them in the drink, near where you think the channel is and hope for some black drum or bull reds.

Thanks for the offer Grem, I'd do it but the BIL left early and he's the only other one who fishes in the group so I'll just be doing some solo fishing from the bank. Next time we are down I will definitely reach back out.
