I've got a Liberty Centurion 24 and really need to upsize. Have any of you had any experience with Yumas? Specifically this one:

Have never heard of it.

But in general, most home gun safes are pretty much the same when it comes to spec/store brands like this one, Liberty, Cannon, etc. They almost all use the same gauge thickness shell and same type of locking system and lock.

If the size, fire rating and price are where you want it to be - get it.

The ONLY thing that might set one apart from another on this type would be where you would go in the event there is a fire, attempted break in, etc. Some you go through the store, some you go direct to the manufacturer.

Advice, get the biggest safe you can afford...... I have a 64 gun widebody fire safe.... and it won't hold half that many guns, LOL.

Also, take into account scopes, rifle type (I.e.shotguns anre much taller) etc. A "24 gun safe" will probably only really hold 10-12 rifles if that.

So, basically, build a "safe" room.
I know a lot about a little, and a little about a lot.

Look at Browning safes. They're tough.

Is it better to get one HUGE one or two smaller (than huge) ones? So would two 32 units be equivalent to a 64?

I've been really happy with my Winchester. Nice layout and it was made in Ft Worth. Support is good - I damaged the keypad and they overnighted me another at no charge.

Sturdy safe. Made in USA, heavy duty all around. Thicker sheet metal than most with beefy options to make it heavier. Nice tight door as well. Check out their YouTube videos and website.

I think it depends on what you are using it for …. I have two safes. I keep guns in one and use the other for storing ammo and personal items that I want to keep locked up.

If just storing guns I think one larger safe might be better.

I got a Cannon 64 safe several years ago at Tractor Supply on sale. My garage got 4' water in it during 10/18 flood of LBJ. I was able to evacuate the safe but it got wet. Called Cannon and they sent me a new keypad assembly for nothing.

In an addition to a safe, have:

1. A home alarm.
2. Cameras.
3. A big ass dog that barks really loudly. Preferably pitbull or German Shepherd.
4. A big dog bowl on the front porch that says "Spike".
I know a lot about a little, and a little about a lot.

Whichever brand/model you get just make sure it is from someone with a known record of giving back door access to the Feds.
