I know this has already been brought up before about Atascosa Insulated Blinds but was wondering if anyone has purchased the Bushlan Blind they sell. If so do you recommended it.

I have looked at Atascosa blinds in the past and I can tell you they are well built. I drive by their shop in Jourdanton on my way from Corpus to my own ranch in the Hill Country and have admired them for years. However, they are insanely expensive for what you are actually getting and there are literally dozens of other builders who have comparable products that are much easier to move and install and cost a fraction of the price. If money is no object, I suppose that factors into the equation. However, I needed three and did not feel like separating myself from 30K to get them onto my place and set up on site.

Just my $.02.

Thank you for the information. What did you end up going with?

Well, I do not have them on the property yet because they are essentially built to order unless they happen to have the blind you are looking for in stock (they do have a pretty good selection, particularly the shorter towers and ground blinds). However, I am buying them through Texas Wildlife Supply out of Brady. They make some incredible protein feeders as well but I had already purchased to Lamcos and an All Season Evo.

We tried 3 Boss Blinds made in BCS and they just didn't last but were slightly cheaper than Atascosa. Atascosa far superior

Have seven of these for the last five years.

They're basically maintenance free.

No bugs, no leaks, windows and doors have no issues, etc.

They are expensive. They delivered and set up everything for us.

We have 15 of them that are 10+ years old. Zero issues with the quality, they've held up very well. Actually about to get 5 more to replace the remainder of our Texas Hunter Blinds.

Had one Atascosa get blown over during a wind storm and we were able to stand it back up and continue using it. No noticeable structural issues. Only problem is the door frame isn't square and results in the door sticking.

I bought a blind from Texas Wildlife Supply 10 years ago. I am very pleased with it. It looks to be very similar to the Atascosa. I paid around $3200 for it with a 15' tower and delivery/setup. The double rail staircase is awesome. Even my dog goes up and down the stairs.
So the greatest civilization is one where all citizens are equally armed and can only be persuaded, never forced. It removes force from the equation... and that's why carrying a gun is a civilized act.

Things have definitely gotten more expensive. The Ranch King Little Buck I paid $1750 for (with tower), 6-7 years ago. They're about $3k, now.

BTW, if you don't need something huge, the Little Buck is an excellent blind. Because of the "tapered" sides, it feels bigger than the floor dimensions would make you think. Just fine for an adult plus a kid, and even two normal-sized adults can hunt it together.

I have purchased three of the Atascosa blinds right before deer season the past two years for 50% off the "display models." I put them in quotes because when I went to pick them up they were in the inventory in the back just like all the rest and were never assembled.

They don't make it easy to find, but you can check to see their "display models" when they are posted here. It looks like they are offering about $1000 off on two of the Bushlan's you were asking about.

Another possibility for a deal is to buy the display model at Hunters Extravaganza, DSC, and such. They don't want to haul those things home.

Have a Little Buck. Great blind. Got 10 inches of rain at our lease in a day last season and our pond where my blind sits flooded . Blind floated on the pond like a bobber I'm guessing and ended up 40 yards down the pond. No water in the blind at all. Wish I'd seen it happen although I'd probably have been freaking out with a 2k blind floating. Those things are awesome. Assuming I ever buy my own property I'd definitely buy more of these or even upgrade to their bigger blinds.
